Server
Server is a catch all term for any sort of application backend. But in most contexts today, people use it to refer to giant computers in data centers that the cloud runs on.
When you use AWS to put some code in the cloud, you're renting shared (or dedicated) space on a big, big server somewhere in Virginia.
